Camat Mantang, Siti Zaina, S.STP, menerapkan strategi jemput bola terhadap kalangan lanjut usia (lansia) di desa-desa yang ada di Kecamatan Mantang untuk disuntik vaksin Covid-19. Langkah tersebut sebagai upaya mempercepat distribusi vaksin untuk lansia yang belum merata. Menurutnya, tenaga kesehatan dari Puskesmas Mantang telah diterjunkan ke desa-desa untuk vaksinasi Covid-19 kalangan lansia. Strategi ini untuk mengatasi kendala jarak yang dialami kalangan lansia mendatangi lokasi-lokasi pelayanan vaksin.
“Pelaksanaan vaksinasi lansia ini dilakukan dengan sistem jemput bola datang langsung ke desa-desa, guna memudahkan para lansia di Mantang menjangkau lokasi penyuntikan vaksin,” kata Siti, saat menggelar kegiatan “Nasi Kapau (Vaksinasi Jangkau Pulau)”, Sabtu (19/6/2021). Dia mengakui, pemberian vaksin Covid-19 untuk lansia belum merata. Untuk itu, Siti Zaina mengajak warga untuk tidak takut divaksin karena sudah dipastikan keamanan serta kehalalannya.
“Jangan takut divaksin, ini solusi untuk mengatasi pandemi ini,” ucapnya.
Selain fokus meningkatkan partisipasi lansia dalam proses pelaksanaan vaksin, Pemerintah Kecamatan Mantang juga terus meningkatkan pengawasan penerapan disiplin penerapan protokol kesehatan (prokes). Langkah ini merupakan ikhtiar dari pemerintah untuk membentengi warga dari bahaya virus corona. “Kami terus bekerja keras menjemput bola dalam rangka mempercepat proses vaksinasi bagi kelompok lansia,” ujarnya.
